Incorporate a fully dense Nanometal coating into your application
Integran has developed several nanocrystalline alloys that can be applied to your application. Nanocrystalline metals
are characterized as having strength, good ductility and high hardness. They can be applied as thin functional coatings or
thicker structural shells. These materials can be deposited on selected metals, composites and polymers. |
Nanocrystalline Nickel Originally developed for use in nuclear steam generator tube repair, nanocrystalline Nickel has excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and good processing characteristics. It has been used as a structural shell in golf shafts and in MEMs applications. |
Nanocrystalline Nickel-Iron Although several alloy compositions are available, nanocrystalline nickel-iron alloys are used where outstanding mechanical properties, low coefficient of thermal expansion or magnetic properties are important. In addition, these alloys possess some of the highest strengths available and so have also been used in armor applications. |
Nanocrystalline Cobalt-Phosphorous Developed as an alternative to hard chrome plating , nanocrystalline cobalt-phosphorous has excellent corrosion resistance, good sliding wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. It is also a fully dense material with good ductility and toughness. |
